Tegan and Issei help Surrey to a 6th Place Finish

Well done Tegan Lessey (Performance Nationals) and Issei Kuzuki (Senior Performance Squad) who took part in Division 1 (the top division) of the National County Team Championships held in Sheffield last weekend.   They helped the Surrey team secure a 6th place finish out of the 20 counties that took part.  One place better than Surrey achieved last year.

NASL - Round 1 Results

In an awfully close fought competition KRSC were just beaten into second place by one point by Basingstoke in the first round of the National Arena Swimming League (NASL). It was a great night with many great swims and bodes well for Round 2 and the final.

Paul's Departure

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Paul Hurley has resigned as Head Coach of Kingston Royals Swimming Club.

Club Championship - Cups and Trophies

The KRSC Club Championship sprint cups and trophies are now with the engraver who will be kept very busy! A list of winners has been published, please read more.

Kingston Royals Open Meet

The club ran its first Open Meet at the Excel Leisure Centre over the weekend 20/21 Sep 2014. The Meet which doubled up as our Sprint Distance Club Championships was a great success with over 350 competitors (approximately 170 KRSC swimmers) swimming in over 2000 events. Lots of medals and ribbons were won and many club championship records broken, some of which have stood for many years.

Surrey County Team - Tegan and Issei

Well done to Tegan Lessey (Nationals Performance) and Issei Kuzuki (Senior Performance) for provisionally being selected to compete for Surrey in the National County Championships. They will both be competing in the 12/13 age groups on the 19th October in Ponds Forge Sports Centre, Sheffield. This is the first time we have had two swimmers selected for a number of years.

Island hopping for Marina

Eleven year old Marina Kornilova, who swims in junior nationals performance squad, eschewed the sandcastles and ice cream to take part in an "island to island" open water race while on holiday in Greece.

Congratulations Mack

A big well done to Mack Downey, 11 years, from the Junior National Competitive Squad who was recently selected to represent London Region in the British Triathlon Regional Championships.

Victor Ludorum Results @ 21 Jul 14

The Victor Ludorum Competition results as at 21st July 2014 have been published on the website and the leisure centre noticeboards.

Sharon good-bye and good luck !

After 13 years of teaching at Kingston Royals Sharon Cox has hung up her Royals teaching shirt to concentrate on her day job at Virgin Active. The Exec delivered a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the club today, to thank her for her many years of service and to wish her well in the future.

Record-breaking Swim For Finn

Congratulations to Finn Harman who broke the Surrey Junior (U16) short course record for 50m freestyle on Saturday, 19 July.  Finn swam a time of 24.28 at the Luton Fast & Furious Meet, breaking the previous record which had stood since 1995.

Black Swan Open Meet - Results

In one of the last competitions of the swimming year our swimmers won 32 gold, 21 silver and 23 bronze medals at the Black Swan Open Meet last weekend.
